Are We Having Fun Yet? Do You Name Your Sheep in Farmville?

I give my sheep names, which you will see when I am finished with my genealogy project soon. This helps me know which exact sheep I bred to get a certain result. My collection is coming along and so far Tania Ross and Debra Rogers have submitted entries and won!! Debra got 5 prizes totaling 50 Farmville Dollars. I send the prized to the winners through the game. She requested 2 damson trees and a Clydesdale Stallion.

I understand how reluctant people may be to enter the Lucky 13 Contest. The first concern should be internet safety. Some poeple probably don't enter is that they figure they won't win...only 13 winners. I have 7 Slots left.

People are really enjoying sheep breeding and we ask each other how they bred a certain sheep. : )

I wish we could buy the Love Potion for others...what a great prize I could offer for future contests.

My friend, Jessica House, gave me this picture of some of her sheep. They are really pretty! Thanks Jessica! (Click to enlarge)

My E-mail Sign Up Includes an "Unsubscribe" Link at the Bottom.

Do you know why you receive emails with an "Unsubscribe" link? It is as a result of the "Can Spam Act of 2003". This is important for people who want to promote their goods and/or services via an email marketing campaign. You should have a someone's explicit permission before you can include them in a blast email. Many companies provide a sign-up on their websites and, if they are reputable, provide a "Privacy Policy" which you should read (I know...blah) or at least scan. This policy outlines the specifics of how they will use their information.

Before I installed the email gadget, I wanted to make sure that there was a privacy policy and a way to "Opt Out" via unsubscribe. Here is a sample email I received: (Click to enlarge)

People Want to Move Some Stuff From 1st Farm to Countryside

This would be neat if we could right click on an item, see the Rainbow Bird Bath below, and take it to the Countryside Farm. (Click to enlarge)

But you have no idea what a task the  the programmers must do. The developers (programmers) would have to add it to their menus for all of their items, probably in javascript. Then they would have to test it on every singe item they offer in different browsers. I am not sure if they could do it for items that were limited edition and no longer in the marketplace. It's sound simple but a big project.

Winner 1 of the Lucky 13 Sheep Breeding Contest - Tania Ro!!! - Contest Closed.

No one seems to be taking this seriously but Tania did. This is not a scam. Please see my original link for the contest rules.

Here is the beautiful Ewe Tania made: (Click to enlarge)

Internet Explorer Slow in Farmville???? Common Problem. Here's the Fix....

I use Internet Explorer 8.0. I am really anal about keeping my software up-to-date on my computer but got so tired of Farmville and Facebook loading soooooo slow. I searched for fixes. I found suggestions like editing the Registry (which you should NEVER do unless you know what you are doing) or running a .dll file from the command prompt, which did not work.

I wanted a fix that the general public can use and found it.
  1. Update to IE 8.0, if you have not done so already.
  2. Go to Microsoft's solution page.
  3. Close Internet Explorer.
  4. ONLY DO OPTIONS 1 AND 2: (Click to enlarge)

  1. For Option 2, download and install "Microsoft Fix It".
  2. Checkmark the "Delete Personal Settings Box", then click "Reset" as pictured below: (Click image to enlarge)
This fix worked beautifully for me. Also, when I restarted IE, it asked me to set up/take a tour and I selected "Ask Me Later".
Please post any questions if you still need help. Give me as much detail as possible.

Hi DaRT. There are known issues with Internet Explorer. I would download and install Mozilla Firefox (click here for link to download). I like it since I can use Adblock and block advertisements.

Try using Firefox. If the problem persists you should contact Zynga Customer Support. Follow the directions listed on my friend's blog, The Dirt Farmer. State your issue and then ASK the customer service rep if you can have Farm Cash or a lot of Instagrows or whatever you want, "for your inconvenience." They are pretty good with giving you something when you ask for it. Sometimes you get to chat and sometimes you have to email them. Either way, 95% of the customer service reps give you something while they address your problem. They will tell you to use Google Chrome, which does not allow me to log onto Facebook for some weird reason. I like Firefox personally. You can update Firefox easily. Here are instructions: http://masteringfarmville.blogspot.com/2010/05/firefox-browser-and-farmville-problems.html
Good luck and let me know what happens.

More coming soon!!!

Okay, after spending too much to purchase Farmville Dollars, I have a Farmville Sheep Breeding Guide. This will be updated as I breed sheep and track my progress and if ANYONE trusts me enough to give them a prize if they win by entering my Lucky 13 Sheep Breeding Contest. Lol. Check it out: (Click to enlarge) (To Make Larger in Firefox, press and hold "Ctrl" and "+" at the same time.)

Farmville Wiki has caught on to the sheep craze. Lol. That's cool. More help for us! They also are making a Sheep Breeding Chart. Chick here to check it out.

Please let me know what you think of my Farmville Sheep Breeding Guide.
